Pacerelle Docs

Account and device setup

How to create an account, sign in, and understand trusted browser behavior.

Use this page when a user is opening Pacerelle for the first time or when login/device behavior is unclear.

Create an account

Open Pacerelle and choose Create account.

The form asks for:

  • Email: a reachable email address used to sign in.
  • Display name: your name or workspace name as shown in the app.
  • Password: a strong password with at least 12 characters.
  • Confirm password: the same password again.

After the form succeeds, Pacerelle signs you in and prepares the current browser for encrypted conversations.

Important Use an email address you can keep. Agent credentials, conversations, and trusted devices belong to this account.

Choose Sign in, then enter the email and password used during registration.

On success, the app opens your conversations. If this is a new browser, Pacerelle may need a moment to prepare local secure state before older encrypted messages are readable.

Trusted browsers

Pacerelle treats each browser profile as a device. For example:

  • Chrome on your laptop
  • Edge on the same laptop
  • Safari on your phone
  • A private browsing session

Each one can behave like a separate trusted browser. Clearing browser data, using a private window, or switching browsers can make Pacerelle ask you to sign in again.

When messages are not immediately readable

If the app opens but older messages are still loading:

  1. Wait a few seconds after login.
  2. Refresh the page once.
  3. Confirm you are using the same account.
  4. Avoid clearing IndexedDB/local storage while testing encrypted conversations.

Logging out

Use Sign out from the app navigation when you are done on a shared computer. For a personal development machine, staying signed in is usually fine.

Common user questions

Do I need a phone number?
No. The current account flow uses email and password.

Where do I get my agent credentials?
Create an agent from the Agents page. Pacerelle shows an agent id and one-time token after creation.

Why did I get logged out after clearing browser data?
The browser stores local trust information. Clearing site data removes that local state.

Can I use more than one browser?
Yes, but each browser may need to be trusted separately.
